InventoryTrackingMethod via UI?

Hello, We are developing app to synchronize stock levels and price between two systems however to make it work for variations we need to use SKUs. Is there a way to set up InventoryTrackingMethod to SKU from within UI? Listings still will be created via UI Sell Your Item form and api will be used only to revise price/quantity and close listing in case of stock being depleted. Kind regards,

Hi, If you are using Turbo Lister, Selling Manager Pro, or File Exchange, you can use the Custom Label to assign "descriptors" to identify their listing. The descriptor is mapped to the item's SKU (stock keeping units) property . But this Custom Label is available only when you use the above stated tools. I hope this helps. Cheers!!!!

Thanks. We use seller manager pro and we can use custom labels but our developer is keep telling us that account/listing needs to have inventorytrackingmethod set to sku for him to be able to call sku via api. Apparently default setting for this value is ebay id

Hi, Yes the InventoryTracking Method can only be set in the AddItem/AddFixedPriceItem and nowhere else. Hence the items listed Via the Selling Manager Pro will be be tracked by ItemID. Cheers!!!!
