Hi I am new to the Ebay API but know C#. I am trying to follow the example found at http://developer.ebay.com/DevZone/xml/docs/HowTo/FirstCall/MakingCallCSharp.html however I don't seem to be able to get past the first step! I am trying to add a reference to http://developer.ebay.com/webservices/latest/ebaySvc.wsdl but always get an error ![alt text][1] Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong please? Many thanks Fred [1]: /storage/temp/175-ebayerror.jpg

Hello All, The issue is rectified. Now you can give a service reference to the latest wsdl without any error or problem in .NET http://developer.ebay.com/webservices/latest/ebaySvc.wsdl ![alt text][1] [1]: /storage/temp/268-untitled.png Best Regards, Devanathan Sampath, eBay Developer Support

I can't add the service reference either, I removed my Visual Studio reference from project and now can't add it back in. Have tried the "latest" and 905 WSDL links. Adding it did work earlier today, but for the last hour or so I've been getting the error message as per the first post from both Visual Studio 2012 and 2010. Scrolling further down the error message is the line "The remote server returned an unexpected response: (405) Method Not Allowed."

Running into the same problem with "latest" and v.905, tried going to an earlier version, v.903 appears to work for me right now. I pasted error message I got below, hopefully it'll be of some help, thank you~ The document at the url http://developer.ebay.com/webservices/latest/ebaySvc.wsdl was not recognized as a known document type. The error message from each known type may help you fix the problem: - Report from 'XML Schema' is 'The root element of a W3C XML Schema should be and its namespace should be ' http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema'.'. - Report from 'DISCO Document' is 'Discovery document at the URL http://developer.ebay.com/webservices/latest/ebaySvc.wsdl could not be found.'. - The document format is not recognized. - Report from 'WSDL Document' is 'There is an error in XML document (33950, 8).'. - The element was not expected in this context: ... Expected elements: http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:annotation, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:element, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:sequence, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:any, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:choice, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:group. Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: ' http://developer.ebay.com/webservices/latest/ebaySvc.wsdl'. The remote server returned an unexpected response: (405) Method Not Allowed. The remote server returned an error: (405) Method Not Allowed. If the service is defined in the current solution, try building the solution and adding the service reference again.

Still not working. The VS "add service reference" dialog kicks off a bunch of calls. I'm not sure which of these are required to succeed for VS to consider it usable.
