Announcing The Launch Of The New EBay Developer Forums!
Hi Developers! We’ve updated our forums. Just as we have listened to your comments leading to the newly launched developer support portal, and our greatly updated API documentation, we listened to what you have been telling us and we’ve made some great changes. We think you will find the forums easier to use and a better place to go when you have questions about the eBay APIs or other developer topics. Please give them a test drive and let us know how we are doing today!
Awesome change, one suggestion. There's some code that detects a list, and adds the next item when you hit enter. For example if I type: 1. Blah And then enter, a "2." is inserted. Please turn this off in edit post mode, or strip the HTML out of the edit post feature.
Hi @smartone_10 , The reason behind keeping this feature is because we wanted the editor space to assist users when they are trying to type in items for numbered lists. If we disable this, then it will affect the users who want to type in a numbered list with many items. It looks like you want to type **1. Blah** and that's all for the list. So what you can do is , Type - 1. Blah On pressing Enter, if the 2nd list item is created, then just use backspace to remove it until the cursor reaches the left end of the editor. Whatever you type after that will not be detected as an item in the numbered list. Thanks, Rajesh
The "comments" feature is burying comments in a small link on the post. Most people are using "answers" anyway. Seems like separating the two just causes confusion. I miss the simple basic table layout you had back in the day. A nice compact bug/issue tracker style interface would be a lot more user friendly. We also need a way to flag system issues that doesn't involve filing a support request which you generally indicate on the form will likely be billable to us. ("Charges for incidents which are determined to be caused by eBay code defects may be refunded at eBay's discretion.") If you want bug reports filed thru the support system the default presumption should be that we won't be charged. We aren't responsible for eBay's bugs and are essentially providing free QA for you.
