findItemsIneBayStores - Getting the error "Invalid store name" - Was working a few months ago??

Hi,

I'm getting the error #5 ""Invalid store name" for stores that were working fine a few months ago with the findItemsIneBayStores call.

The "Dell" and "Acer" eBay store will work, but "Adorama Camera", "WD", and "DJIOfficialStore" return the error.

I'm getting the Store Name directly from the GetUserProfile call, so it is correct. Oddly enough, it seems to work with some stores as stated above.

Any ideas, or has something changed?

Thanks!
David

Ok. It looks like the GetUserProfile call in the Shopping API is NOT returning the up to date "Store Name" for an eBay Seller. Instead you will need to get that from the seller's store page. Here's what seems to work:

1. Go to the seller's Store Page (usually has a url like https://www.ebay.com/str/...). You can retrieve this value through the GetUserProfile call in the Shopping API. Just grab the value for the "StoreURL" in the call's response.

2. The store name is the main, large & bolded name on that page (including spaces). For the 6ave eBay store, the name is "6th Avenue Electronics."

3. Be sure to urlencode the name before using it in the FindItemsInEbayStores call in the Finding API (php's urlencode function works).

That seems to work fine now. Testing on the Finding API version 1.13.0.

Hope this helps!
