migrate to FileExchange

I am currently migrating from the FileExchange service to the FeedAPI. But I am facing many issues. I am still new to the EbayAPI in general. I have read the documentation.l

But it is very unclear when it comes to tasks and uploads. Things just become very entangled. My job is simple I need to be able to upload a CSV file which matches the FileExchange Format and list it. Can someone run me through what I should do exaclty.

I have already got my AuthToken and created a sandbox user but when I try testing createTask in the API explorer I get this error:

"The authentication scope is incorrect for 'feed_type' FX_LISTING. Refer to documentation for details about the scopes."

I am trying to follow the documentation word by word but nothing is working. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi @rahot-0,

Please use scope https://api.ebay.com/oauth/api_scope/sell.inventory while generating a user access token to execute the createTask call for FX_LISTING feedType.

Ref: https://developer.ebay.com/api-docs/static/oauth-authorization-code-grant.html

You need a User Access token (Authorization code grant flow) for createTask and uploadFile. If you use Application Access token then you get that error message.
