Simplest way to create listings on sandbox?

I'm fairly new to using web APIs and I need to work on pulling order info from a sandbox account. I haven't been able to use the website to create an item listing, and I read that the only way to do so is by making API calls to list items. All I'm looking to do is create some test item listings so I can have some orders to work with. Is there a simple straightforward way of achieving this through API calls?

Hi @daniewojcia_0,

Please use the Trading API or Inventory API to list the item on sandbox.
Ref: https://developer.ebay.com/devzone/xml/docs/Reference/eBay/StandardListingIndex.html

For listing an item by Inventory API you can follow given steps :-
1. Use CreateOrReplaceInventoryItem call to create a record of an item for a SKU. Please go through the link given below to know more about call.
Ref: https://developer.ebay.com/api-docs/sell/inventory/resources/inventory_item/methods/createOrReplaceInventoryItem

2. After that Create an offer for the same SKU by CreateOffer Call. This will give you Offer ID in response body. Please go through the link given below to know more about call.
Ref: https://developer.ebay.com/api-docs/sell/inventory/resources/offer/methods/createOffer

3. After getting offerID, publish the offer by PublishOffer Call. Please go through the link given below to know more about call.
Ref: https://developer.ebay.com/api-docs/sell/inventory/resources/offer/methods/publishOffer

Please refer to the guide mentioned in below, to know more about working with the Inventory API.

Use the URL http://sandbox.ebay.com/itm/ENTER_ITEM_ID_HERE , to see the item view page on sandbox UI.

Hi @carv_881,

It seems like you are using incorrect value for packageType field. To get the all of the supported package type for a eBay site, please execute the GeteBayDetails call of Trading API with DetailName as ShippingPackageDetails. You can also just use the ShippingServiceDetails filter and the supported shipping package types for each shipping service option will be returned. You can also update inventory item record by removing the packageType field from the request to remove the mentioned error.
