new search api, is it one category ID that can be passed or more? Details are conflicting

There is conflicting information regarding how many category ID's can be passed. The description for the Category_IDs parameter says "The category ID is used to limit the results. This field can have one category ID or a comma separated list of IDs", and then just below this statement it reads: "Note: Currently, you can pass in only one category ID per request."

Does anybody know which is right?

Hi @spencerkechi ,

Browse/search can support multiple category IDs in a single request in future. Currently you can specify only one category ID per request.

For getting the dominantCategoryId for an item, please make request with the URL mentioned below:

https://api.ebay.com/buy/browse/v1/item_summary/search?q= Enter_Keyword_Here&fieldgroups=ASPECT_REFINEMENTS

You can use this dominantCategoryID in your request when you are searching an item using category filter.
