We need to increase our API Call Limit on the internally-used application we are developing, well past the 5,000 calls/day limit. Our application was submitted to the "Compatible App Check," and all pertinent information was provided. However, even after responding to followup inquiries from Ebay Developer Support, our application was denied without reason. The simple message was as follows:
"Your request for increased rate limits has been rejected for failing to meet the necessary standards to justify the requested increased rate limit. For more information about the app check process, see this link - https://developer.ebay.com/support/app-check.
This ticket is hereby closed."
We have been through the checklist on the provided link, multiple times - both before and after the application check. We can see no reason why we have not met any necessary standards to justify the requested increased rate limit. No reasoning or explanation is provided on the ticket - what standards are we not meeting?
The ticket was also immediately closed, providing no option for us to respond or request more information or explanation. We have already sunk significant time and financial investment in developing our application as well as preparing our application for the increased call limits - to be denied without explanation or recourse for further communication from Ebay is unprofessional and unacceptable.
Please let us know what necessary standards we are not meeting, and how we can move forward for a successful increase of our API Call Limit. For reference, the original App Check Ticket Reference Number is 210305-000009, the application name is "Corto", and the developer account is "zalawi".
