GetCategorySpecifics Request does not work with Sandbox Server URL....

The GetCategorySpecifics request doesn't work with the sandbox server url, it only returns the Category ID that was sent in the request. I also read that it is being deprecated, what Call is going to replace this? How are we suppose to get the Category specific fields for programmatically listing an item on eBay? Can anyone tell me what call I should use to get this information?

@cardboard.superstars you can use your live account to get this specifics. Then change back to sandbox account and just dont reload specifics.
I didnt upgrade to Taxonomy API either yet.

Thanks for the tip. I just decided to upgrade to the Restful API, which doesn't work with the Sandbox either, just returns nonsense data, also a heads up, you must make your Restful api request from a secured server as it won't work at all on a localhost testing environment.

Hi @cardboard.superstars,

The GetCategorySpecifics call is being deprecated. No new features and/or fields will be added to GetCategorySpecifics, and it will no longer be supported after January 31, 2022. eBay recommends that large sellers and developers migrate to the Taxonomy API RESTful methods(https://developer.ebay.com/api-docs/commerce/taxonomy/static/overview.html).
Refer to the Taxonomy API Migration Guide(https://developer.ebay.com/api-docs/commerce/static/migration-landing.html) for more information.
Please visit the API deprecation to get information about deprecation:

Best Regards
