Does the new change for managed payment is backward compatible?
We are offering a third party software for our seller to list on eBay. Normally we are sending the API call with the PayPal email. With the new managed payment modification do we need to change something if we are using the trading API mostly: AddFixedPriceItem and GetOrders. It will work but throw a warning because the PayPal id is no more needed? Can we see the difference before and after for the API call with the new managed payment? Thanks for your help, I'm a bit scared that this change may break my system all put down all my client...
Hi @kronozio-canada , **1. AddFixedPriceItem** For sellers in the eBay managed payments program, a payment method does not need to be specified at listing time. Any payment method that is specified at the listing time (or defined in a payment business policy) will be ignored and dropped from the listing, and the seller will get a **warning message** in the response. Immediate payment is supported for sellers in the eBay managed payments program, so they can include the **AutoPay** field in the request and set its value to **true**. REF:

GetOrder** For sellers opted into eBay managed payments, a payment method is not needed at listing time, but this field is still returned. For eBay managed payments orders, the value returned in this field will be CreditCard, unless an eBay gift card was used by the buyer to pay a partial or full balance of the order. If this is the case, the value returned in this field will be CCAccepted. Either of these two values will be returned for eBay managed payments orders, regardless of the actual payment method that the buyer uses. REF:
