ReviseItem Exceptions on Items Listed with Stock Photos
Hi, When calling "ReviseItem" on a item listed with stock photo, we are getting errors on photo and description. For the photo, the error text is "To list in this category, the required minimum number of photos: 1." For the description, it simply says that the description is required. **All we are trying to do was to change the price and the quantity** on the store listed item. Because the item was listed with the stock description and photo from eBay's product catalog, we do not have either one for the call. Nor do we want to change them anyway, This call worked for us for more than a decade with just the item ID, price and quantity in the input. Sometime earlier this year, we are not certain when, it stopped working. How should we proceed if all we want to change are the price and quantity? Originally we did not even provide the "ProductListingDetails" to the call. Then we were getting an error saying that the "ePID" was not found, even though the listing is already active on eBay. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi @pacificdvds, If Item.ProductListingDetails.IncludeStockPhotoURL value is true, the listing will use the eBay catalog product's stock photo. In an Add/Revise/Relist call, this field is set to true by default. If you will be using an eBay catalog product to list your item, it is always advised to include the stock photo. Sellers can also add their own pictures using one or more Item.PictureDetails.PictureURL fields. Please refer below doc for more details: Ref:

If a matching product is found in the eBay product catalog, the item description will be created automatically
