Getting token without the grant access using the eBay login form
Hello everybody, it seems that before requesting either an OAuth or an Auth'n'Auth token you have to grant the access using the eBay login form (in order to get an authorization key) in a manual way. We are planning to implement a simple routine that automatically executes every x time to monitor the products we are selling. However, if we have to manually type the credentials in the grant application access page the automation of our routine will not have sense at all. Is there any method to get the tokens to operate with the eBay API (Trading API mainly) without the user interaction? If it is not possible, is there any method to automatically using the API without typing the credentials manually every x time? Could you provide us of a Postman example where the authentication workflow is implemented without accessing to the eBay access page, please? Thanks in advance!
Hi, Yes this is industry standard. You will have to manually sign in once and then can use the refresh token after that to automate fetching the token needed every few hours. But even the refresh token is only valid for 18 months. So you will have to manually sign in every 18 months. Same time frame and route needs to be done for Auth & Auth.
