FindReviewsAndGuides - Invalid product ID

Hi Folks,

I've been working with the eBay API for a few days, and for the most part it's been relatively straightforward.  However, I've come across and issue with the call FindReviewsAndGuides, and I'm stumped.

I'm using HTTP Get, with the following URL;

http://open.api.ebay.com/shopping?callname=FindReviewsAndGuides&response...MYAPPID&siteid=3&productId.@type=referenceID&productId=PASSEDPRODUCTID&version=745

The product ID I'm passing is coming from an earlier call using FindProducts, so I know it's valid.

I've tried well over 50 different products, and they're all returning the same error (I've also checked eBay itself to make sure the products themselves do have reviews etc).  The error returned is;

ProductID is not valid. Supported types are Reference, ISBN, UPC and EAN. Value should be a valid product reference ID or external product ID value.

I assume I've structured the URL correctly.  The sample in the docs incorrectly refers to a categoryid though (though the XML sample correctly uses ProductID).

I'd be grateful of any pointers in case I've missed something

Hi,

Without the exact URL you are trying to use, I can't give you an exact answer.  But here is a sample of how it should look:

http://open.api.ebay.com/shopping?callname=FindReviewsAndGuides&response...

Make sure you replace the YOURAPPID with your current production AppID.  Also notice how I constructed the type and value.
