We switched from the traditional eBay Trading API to the new RESTful Sell API last week. We ended all our active listings first and planned to upload all items via the new API again. We relied on the API call limits displayed here:
https://go.developer.ebay.com/api-call-limits Sell (SKU-Based Inventory) - /sell/inventory 2 Million API calls per day - /sell/account 25,000 API calls per day - /sell/fulfillment 100,000 API calls per day - /sell/marketing 25,000 API calls per day - /sell/analytics 500 API calls per day Besides the fact that the eBay server seems rather unstable (many 500 internal server errors) and that it responds so slowly that it is impossible to perform more than maybe one reqeust per second (which would be max. 86,400 requests per day), **the most severe problem is that we're getting a "limit reached" error response even after much less than 20,000 (!) inventory API calls per day:** "A user error has occurred. Your application has exceeded usage limit on this call, please make call to GetAPIAccessRules to check your call usage." This is 1 % (!) of the displayed rate limit of 2m inventory API calls! How is this possible? **We lost thousands of dollars** and we will lose many more thousands of dollars because **it will take months (!)** until our inventory will be completely uploaded on several eBay marketplaces again. (Note that it needs one inventory API calls to create and inventory item, another one to create an offer and a third one to publish the offer.) The eBay phone support couldn't help us at all (as always when faced with technical questions) and our e-mails remain unreplied. **Please help!**
Hello @easy-ankauf and/or @lester_developerprogram : A year has passed since you had this issue and now it's happening to me. Could you please share how it was resolved? My eBay developer account's username: jackRoark Thank you!
