Omitting StartPrice to use Markdown Manager

We are a third party integrator. A client would like to use the Markdown Manager feature and not have us update StartPrice from their ERP to eBay for them in order for Markdown Manager to set the price. When we try to sync updates to eBay for SKUs without a StartPrice, eBay returns an error message that the StartPrice is missing or invalid. Is it possible to sync updates without StartPrice so the Markdown Manager can control the price?

Hi, There is no way for the MarkDown Manager to know or control the Start Price. This has to be controlled by the seller. Please let me know if you have questions. Cheers!!!

Hi, We would like our customer to be able to use the markdown manager to control the prices on some of their items. However, if we sync StartPrice for an item using the markdown manager, we overwrite the markdown manager and they don't get to benefit from using the markdown manager feature. How can we continue to update all the other data on their items while letting markdown manager control the price? If we omit StartPrice while updating the items, eBay returns an error message that the StartPrice is missing or invalid and does not allow us to update any data for the item.

There's no way around that as of now. If the item is revised and is currently on sale via markdown manager, the sale price is lost
