What's the endpoint for getting the Resource Owner for OAuth?

It seems to be pretty standard to be able to request details of the resource owner, once authenticated via OAuth2. I'm using thephpleague/oauth2-client, and it seems to get to the point of being authenticated - then there's some example code that calls: $provider->getResourceOwner($accessToken); ...using a valid token, but I just get invalid_request, which is probably because I have blank for "urlResourceOwnerDetails" when instantiating the GenericProvider class. How can I uniquely and reliably identify the authenticated user so that I can create linked data in my app?
