Opening eBay Sandbox Test Store - Success

Dear Fellow eBay Developers.

I used this procedure to successfully open an eBay Sandbox store.  One of the reasons why I am posting this message is because I had in the past
run into some problems opening one.  The issue was that my Paypal Sandbox and eBay Sandbox accounts would not link together.  Using this
procedure the two accounts did link together the first time.  Further feedback from the community may be helpful to others.

First I used a domain name which is connected to my cheap website hosting account to create a new email address with.

Then went here

https://developer.ebay.com/DevZone/SandBoxUser/

and used the newly created email address with this form to create an eBay Sandbox test user.

Then I went here

https://developer.ebay.com/DevZone/account/tokens/default.aspx

to create a User Token for the new eBay Sandbox test user.  I copied this large string into a text file for future reference.

Then I went here to create a PayPal Sandbox test Seller

https://developer.paypal.com

The system will generate a longish randomly chosen email address for you for the Paypal Sandbox test Seller.  Please copy this
as you will need it later.

List an item manually in the Seller backend of the eBay Sandbox, making sure to use the email address from the Paypal Sandbox
test Seller which you previously created and NOT the email address which was used to create the eBay Sandbox test user.

Being logged into the eBay Sandbox as the new eBay Sandbox test user, link the PayPal Sandbox test Seller and the eBay Sandbox test user
together.

From the My eBay drop-down menu in the eBay Sandbox, select Summary

From the Account tab in My eBay, select PayPal Account

Click on Link My PayPal Account

When the two accounts are linked together, the screen which is accessed from Account -> PayPal Account should say something like
Your eBay account is linked with your Paypal account: m...z@yahoo.com

Make sure that you are logged into your eBay Sandbox with your new eBay Sandbox username and password.
Go to the bottom of the screen and click on a link which says 'Stores'
There is a link at the upper right called, 'Open a Store' , click on this.

This is where it gets tricky.  The link on this page which should allow you to open up a new eBay Sandbox test store is incorrect

http://cgi3.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?CreateProductSubscription&productId=3

it should be instead

http://cgi3.sandbox.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?CreateProductSubscription&...

so open a new tab in your browser, and place the correct URL into the address bar, then hit 'Enter'

log in again with your new eBay Sandbox test user name and then proceed to create a new store for your eBay Sandbox test user.

I hope this was helpful.

I still can't make this work :(

I followed your instructions but I can't see the paypal address near "our eBay account is linked with your Paypal account".
