The input parameters are case-sensitive, so be sure to use &GLOBAL-ID= instead. That should fix it. Also, just in case, use a more recent Service Version (like 1.5.0). (And going forward, be sure to not put your private API key in public forum posts.)
One more question: How can I search for keywords? I don't see a search query parameter in the docs (
https://developer.ebay.com/DevZone/merchandising/docs/CallRef/getMostWatchedItems.html#getMostWatchedItems) but I see other people work with it... Is there a way I can ask the API what input fields it has? It seems to me the docs aren't 100% updated...!? I tried a couple of different spellings and typings from other APIs but it didn't work. Any idea for me where I can find the complete imput fields? Thanks again for your help!! Astrid
That API call doesn't do keywords, unfortunately. Just categories. No, there isn't a programmatic way to ask an API call to declare its input parameters. But login to your eBay Dev account and check out the API tester tool (if it's still there, can't remember), as it shows default params. You're right - sometimes the docs on API calls have errors in them. There was an API call that did keywords searches for most watched items, but it's been deprecated - FindPopularItems in the Shopping API. It would be really cool if they added a MostWatched sort to the Finding API calls!
