Country selector for getMostWatchedItems?

Hi! I'm trying to get Most Watched Items (getMostWatchedItems) for eBay Germany. But I only get items from eBay US returned. I tried different country parameters: **siteid=77** http://svcs.ebay.com/MerchandisingService?OPERATION-NAME=getMostWatchedItems&SERVICE-NAME=MerchandisingService&SERVICE-VERSION=1.1.0&CONSUMER-ID=YOUR APP-ID HERE&RESPONSE-DATA-FORMAT=XML&maxResults=50&siteid=77 **globalId=EBAY-DE** http://svcs.ebay.com/MerchandisingService?OPERATION-NAME=getMostWatchedItems&SERVICE-NAME=MerchandisingService&SERVICE-VERSION=1.1.0&CONSUMER-ID=YOUR APP-ID HERE&RESPONSE-DATA-FORMAT=XML&maxResults=50&globalId=EBAY-DE **DestinationCountryCode=DE** (don't remember where I found this but doesn't work) http://svcs.ebay.com/MerchandisingService?OPERATION-NAME=getMostWatchedItems&SERVICE-NAME=MerchandisingService&SERVICE-VERSION=1.1.0&CONSUMER-ID=YOUR APP-ID HERE&RESPONSE-DATA-FORMAT=XML&maxResults=50&DestinationCountryCode=DE I hope you can light up the dark because I don't know what else I can try to get most watched items for eBay in Germany or any other country... If I need to use another call, operation or API please let me know. Thank a mil in advance, Astrid :-)

The input parameters are case-sensitive, so be sure to use &GLOBAL-ID= instead. That should fix it. Also, just in case, use a more recent Service Version (like 1.5.0). (And going forward, be sure to not put your private API key in public forum posts.)

One more question: How can I search for keywords? I don't see a search query parameter in the docs ( https://developer.ebay.com/DevZone/merchandising/docs/CallRef/getMostWatchedItems.html#getMostWatchedItems) but I see other people work with it... Is there a way I can ask the API what input fields it has? It seems to me the docs aren't 100% updated...!? I tried a couple of different spellings and typings from other APIs but it didn't work. Any idea for me where I can find the complete imput fields? Thanks again for your help!! Astrid

That API call doesn't do keywords, unfortunately. Just categories. No, there isn't a programmatic way to ask an API call to declare its input parameters. But login to your eBay Dev account and check out the API tester tool (if it's still there, can't remember), as it shows default params. You're right - sometimes the docs on API calls have errors in them. There was an API call that did keywords searches for most watched items, but it's been deprecated - FindPopularItems in the Shopping API. It would be really cool if they added a MostWatched sort to the Finding API calls!

How does this site manage the keyword handling? http://www.watchcount.com/ Maybe with an own database?

@agentastrid80 We do not have any knowledge of how a particular 3rd party site implement API call. However several calls from [Finding API][1] will give you items filter by keywords [1]: http://developer.ebay.com/Devzone/finding/CallRef/index.html#CallIndex
