Selling Automobiles

Hi, I am new to the eBay developer SDK. I am trying to find out if there are any special rules, functions, category IDs that I need to follow or utilize to accomplish selling automobiles and trucks. I tried to find the category ID for Automobiles, but was unsuccessful. I also tried to find an example that shows how to sell cars... but also could not find one. Can someone help me out with a small example on the function calls and category ID to use? I am not sure if the SDK selling functions are the same for selling automobiles. Thank you in advance.

Just use the GetCategories call without an empty Category Parent parameter. This will return every category that eBay has... and it is a huge list.

Hi, To get the categories specific to motors site, make sure that you set the SiteID to 100 ( if US). You will get the list of all the categories for US motors site. But if it is a site other than US Motors , for eg: UK( SiteID: 3), you will still have to know the category you want to list in. There are a few knowledge base articles that you can refer to how to list Motors Items: https://ebaydts.com/eBayKBDetails?KBid=2020 https://ebaydts.com/eBayKBDetails?KBid=2027 https://ebaydts.com/eBayKBDetails?KBid=2098 Hope this helps. Cheers!!!
