How do I retrieve the tracking number from the order (if available)

I need to check for tracking numbers and retrieve them when they are posted.

How do I retrieve it using transaction id, or item number?

I am doing it in c#

Hi,

You can make a call to GetOrders, if an order has tracking information the response will have the  ShipmentTrackingDetails container.  (you use the OrderID to make the call, the OrderID is ItemID-TransactionID)

Here is a GetOrders C# sample,

Answer Title: C# Sales order processing using GetOrders

"GetOrders is the recommended call to use for order (sales) management." What about the Purchasing? I am actually trying to retrieve the shipping data from the Items that I have won.

I realize GetOrders is a sales management API, but at this point that is really the only way to get it back.  We have requested this information be available within GetMyeBayBuying, but we have no ETA as to when or if that will be implemented.  You also may be able to get the information through GetMyMessages, but only if the seller sends the information through our messaging syste.

So that is why I recommended using GetOrders, as that is the safest way to ensure you get what you are looking for.
