API test tool : is it available ?

Hi, I use the API test tool almost everyday, on this bookmark : [ https://developer.ebay.com/devzone/build-test/test-tool/Default.aspx][1] but today the API test tool has disapeared. Is there a location where I can find it ? Thanks. [1]: https://developer.ebay.com/devzone/build-test/test-tool/Default.aspx

Somebody [posted this 3P tool][1] a while back. I had a quick look back then and it seemed helpful, but I haven't yet really sunk my teeth into it yet. [1]: https://sdk.intradesys.com/

That's strange. I just went into my eBay Dev account to check on this. The URL for the old tool was: https://developer.ebay.com/DevZone/build-test/test-tool/ ...which redirected to this API tool info page: https://go.developer.ebay.com/api-test-tools ...and on that page I see "Note: The previous eBay API Test Tool is no longer supported." (sigh)... I guess they're retiring that tool, for some reason. It's a pity, as it was pretty handy. Looks like there are 3P tools around, but I don't really feel like giving them my API keys or tokens.

No keys are being asked. If you are concerned about tokens and don't trust their handling and deletion in the live API Playground, you can always revoke them in my eBay: http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyeBay&CurrentPage=MyeBayPreferences#ThirdPartyLink Best, --Andreas

Thank you so much @helios825, this tool [ https://sdk.intradesys.com/ebay_api_sdk_test_tool][1] is great ! I submitted my sandbox token, I made a test online ("Live API Playground"), testing GetStore for example, and it worked ! And it seems faster too. Thanks ! Thanks for the clarification, Andreas. I was commenting in general about my hesitation regarding the security of 3P tools. But then I re-found and had a closer look at your API Playground, and it looks like you guys are pretty sensitive to security and addressing the handling of said data well. Next time I need to fiddle with the Trading API, I'll be visiting your site/tool to give it a whirl. (I think eBay should link to your tool from that above "API Test Tools" page.)

I've wrote a very quick guide to [using postman to connect to the eBay API]( http://devbay.net/blog/2015/03/22/using-postman-to-connect-to-the-ebay-api/). Postman is very simple to use but I thought the guide may be of use to someone.

@davidtsadler, the tutorial is very clear. I have already tested it but I did'nt pay enough attention to the details, so I gave up. By reading the tutorial I realize I've made some mistakes, I'll try it again. Thanks.

That's great to hear. At one point I did debate whether to write the article or not. I'm glad I went ahead with it in the end.

Getting rid of something as useful and popular as the API Test Tool is a terrible idea. What were they thinking?
